I am using the ISIS Logic software. The programs own reverb and other effects are totally useless. I have the following questions:
- are there any good cheap or free plugins for reverb and other ambient effects?
- are there any good cheap or free plugins for compressors and other dynamic effects?
- are there any good cheap or free plugins for vocals? Tube saturation, de-esser, EQ etc.
- are there any good cheap or free plugins for guitar modelling like the amp farm? I would like to record everything dry and only monitor the effects in order to be able to change them later.

I posted this a while back in the n-Track forum...it should be of help to you here. BTW, I'm going to cut and paste this so some of the info might be a little out of date. These were all free the last time I checked.

First try this:

One of almost everything you'll use! Groovy color!

If your software can only do DX plugins, then you should download the free VST-DX Wrapper from spinaudio:
http://www.spinaudio.com/downloads_free.html

Also, you really should snag the VST version of Freeverb from:
http://home.onet.co.uk/~jzracc/freeverb.htm
Compare this one to n-Tracks reverb...I like it mucho bettero. (that's spanish)

Now check out the free section at the bottom of:
http://www.db-audioware.com/download.html

And you can also try:

Hell, try these too:

There's a free drum machine plugin and some VST instrument here:

Tired yet? Too bad. Now check out:

Does "virtual analog" mean "digital?" I would think so!:
