3 chord wonders
The song is nothing special just simple loud open chord rock.
I'm more interested in what you guys think of the mix and overall sound.
No vocals, or git solo yet.

320 kbps mp3.

Thanx for listening.
Apreciate any comments, helpful tips, rude remarks, cash... :)

sound's almost perfect if there is such a thing, sounds really pete townsend esq, only sugesstions would be to tone the hats sizzle down a little and maybe a little more slap in the kick all in all sounds pretty good, keep it up. whats your guitar chain looking like? just being nosey lol

Hi Eccentrica, thanks for the reply and the kind and constructive comments!
I solo like Pete Townshend too...lol...best left to someone else at this stage.;)

I know how to reduce the sizzle (reduce 8-12Kh?), but how can I get more slap from the kick?

LP into a POD pro v.1 (using Plexi and JTM-45)
M-Audio 2496
P4 2.66 (o/c 3.0)
Cubase VST
Battery v.1 for drums
Mixed on Sennheiser HD280 cans

ACDC like intro, nice sound :D Okay well the intro is a little long.. okay, there are no vox, (hehe, like you already mentioned... I'm slow :D ) Mix sounds fine man, looking forward to a good vox add. Put them in just right (which can be tough sometimes, so make sure you post again with vox) and you have it goin' on here. Yeah, nice rocking sound here, no real recommendations from my ears, I liked :D

Thanx for the comments SnakeDog!!

Unfortunetly I don't have anywhere to record vocals right now, I don't even have any mic's...lol Another prob is you wouldn't want to hear me sing anyway.

So I'm actualy looking for a singer....Anybody want to try to do vocals for this??

I'd love to have a vocal track to mix and play around with.

Yeah, nice rhythm in the guitars. I think the gtrs would sound good with a touch more low-mids in them, but as they are, if there was a full sounding lead gtr added it would fill it out just right. Sounds like you're leaving room for that or a vocal and that's smart.

Hey man, do you already have lyrics to this? I may give it a try, if I do, just don't expect too much :D

Heh I can hear Bon Scott all over this like a rash. You got a pretty good balance here, and there's plenty of room left for vox. I like your sound too

Thanx for the replies guys...

Timothy, yes I did mix it with vocals in mind, and a solo after the breakdown. Good ears there. Thanx for the kind comments.

SnakeDog can you do Bon Scott? :) Hehe...Don't have lyrics right now but give me a couple of days and I'll see what I can come up with....Don't expect too much with the lyrics either...;)

Thanx Bulls Hit, glad you like it!

I've actually been playing around with it a bit and re-did the kick and Hi-Hats, thinking of adding some piano accents, we'll see. I'll upload it when I'm done later.

I re-mixed this song, new bass line, and fixed some drum problems...

Listen

Hope it sounds better?? Tired of it lol, time to move on... ;)

I'm listening to in headphones at the moment..

This second mix is slightly more pleasing however not as loud. Snare is much better sounding IMO. I have noticed in both that in some parts the guitars don't sync with each other.
