plexiglass vs plywood

I was planning on putting plywood down underneath my drums to create a reflective surface (floor is carpeted). However, I thought that plexiglass might be easier on the carpet (snags and all). Will plexiglass work just as well?

Aaron,

I wouldn't go that route- plexi isn't made for that and won't hold up very well.

Use the plywood - and if you're concerned about snags and the likes - just finish it off nicely.
