Now, I also wanna say that I don't really get into hip-hop at all, haha, but I'm open to listening to everything.
I listened to "Clubbin" and I've got to say - it sounds really good. First of all, everything is tight and clean, which I'm thinking is what you would be going for with hip-hop stuff. The mix is pretty much perfect, and the performance is right on. The song has a great hook, too. I found myself kinda singing the chorus line in my head later. To be honest, it could come on MTV and I would think it sounded just as good (or better) than all the other stuff in your genre that I hear. Well done, man. You've got some recording/engineering skills for sure. I'd record in your studio in a second, if you could handle all the acoustic guitars and mellowed out tunes.
Maybe me posting will bump this thread to the top of the forum - more people should hear your mixes.
