Greetings gents (and ladies).. I've gotten some great feedback from here in the past, and was hoping for some input on a new song I've just completed.

or

This song takes a look at seemingly small and insignificant things that we do
but that actually have a big impact on life. Whether it be leaving the house
five minutes too late, getting a surge of confidence, missing a phone call
or turning a car wheel, actions like these can cause more change than they
are given credit for.

Lyrics:
What if I never turned to the right?
I'd a missed you walk into my life
You can't regret who you never have met, or you might

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been

What if I never answered the phone?
Could you spill your heart after the tone?
Would you finally get brave, with the thoughts that you saved all alone?
When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been a different (life)

Life gives plenty of chances each day
To find your stars or just wish them away
It's the littlest things that we do, they can bring the most change

When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

When you're caught between yellow, green, and red
And hope turns to bittersweet instead

When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been
Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been
Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been a different life

I really like the concept of small things that can have a big impact......but I don't know if you really got that across effectively enough.

The first two verses come across more as a love song - what if I didn't meet you and what if I wasn't there for you when you called, etc. While I think your intent was to suggest that by being there (he/she) did impact someone's life.....but by makeing it a two person perspective, you limit the ways you could take this concept........and as I indicate, it seems to come across too much as a love song between two people vs. how we can change the world with our actions (a concept much larger than two people)

The phrase "to find your stars or wish them away" is very nice and the "wouldabeen, shoulda been, coulda been" phrase is a good way to take an often use pop culture phrase and use it in song - but most of the other lyrics don't seem to really support your stated concept......at least from my perspective.

The idea (little things we do that can bring the most change) is a really good concept and I hope you keep the idea and try a re-write to capitalize on the larger concept.

I really enjoyed the arrangement and melody I find Im not listening to the
words too much as the song is very up beat and happy

I really like this song! Great arrangement!
Keep up the good work :)

...

carries itself well. I quit reading the lyrics and just tapped along, enjoying it.

good show.

I just listened to the tune....my previous post was based solely on the printed lyrics.

After hearing the song, it plays well with an interesting arrangement. Hearing the lyrics with the melody, I found that I was not at all concerned about how effectively you relayed the concept of small actions making big changes...........I simply like the song and the lyrics/story line worked well in the content of the song.

So......disregard my first post and instead let me say.......nice song:D

Great comments! Thanks mikeH for the re-listen. I always value your input.
