I enjoyed your tracks. I'll echo that I like the variety in the tracks and you're not really limiting yourself to a specific genre. Helana Hellcart was great; my only small gripe would be that the vocals could come up a bit, especially in the verses.

thanks, so many people have mentioned my vocals being too low that Im really gonna make an effort to raise them up in future tracks :)

i wouldnt say that, 'variations on theme' and 'colour me gone' are great. Really great quality and amazing playing skills all round..beautiful.

I listened to "Loser", great pop-punk style tune. I loved it. The drums part were really good, but I'm not so sure about the EZ drummer samples. I would upgrade those samples if you can swing it, they are way to 'small' for such a powerful tune. The performances were all stellar. My only other nit would be the bass guitar sounds like you went right into the board with nothing else on it and it gives the feel of a scratch track, not an amped monster attacking the low end like it should. Great song overall.

Hey Jason, I guess the only other drum samples that I've tried are Steven Slate. I think they sound really professional. Although, I still get shredded on the HR for my fake drums, I think that's because I program them like a guitar player . SS might cost you some money, but I think it would be a big improvement over EZD. Now for the bass problem: I use Amplitube 3 for everything. The bass and guitar amps in there are off hook! If you can't get your hands on that, then try scouring the internet for free vst plugins. You've got some top notch writing and performances going on here - I'd spend a little more $ upgrade the tones! :D:cool:

oh yea, I see you have Guitar rig 4 - I think they have bass amps in there that are good.

Thanks for that dude, I appreciate the advice.

Really god stuff. Way too eclectic to form any kind of album or even gig in my view. From one song to the next I didn't know which continent you were from let alone which genre.

I won't pick nits on the recordings because I think they're at a level where any suggested changes are purely subjective. I think you could really stand out if you found a sound that was unique to you and stuck with it. Good luck.

thanks. Ive been in a modern punk band for the last 10 years or so, since we broke up i set up the little studio to try out some different styles . All i knew was that i needed a break from punk, so i tried loads of different styles.
Recently however a few songs have been coming out that sit well together. Im recording them now so we'll see how it turns out, Ive even begun to think out forming another band to play them, so mayby Ive finally settled on a new genre!!!
