After perusing this board for some time, I still cannot find the answer to my question. I would like to use VST drums to record. I have several comps to enter, so I would like to know how to create a bank of drum parts that I can use as a sort of palette when entering the drum info. Can I create this? I don't want to have to reprogram the same beats every time I start a new comp. I am using Cubase SX. Thank you!

Sry if I miss-read what the question means. Does this not mean you want to save the file so load it again? That seems too easy so I bet that's not what you mean .... Do you mean a portable pallete for use in different software?
:o

If you are programming MIDI data to control the VST then just simply write the 'beats', and then save the MIDI file to your harddrive. When you want to get the drum parts back, just import the MIDI file into your project.
