I rented one studio that has good equipment, but I'm not sure how to set it up to record good drums!

We are going for the metal Pantera-like sound.

Drum setup is: kick,snare,3 toms,2 crash cymbals,ride and hi-hat.

Studio has small but acustic room.

Two Amek Neve 9098eq's and two Urei 1176 compressors are available.Rest of the tracks should go through my Digimax LT and Digi001.

Mics: two Neuman U87, three AT25, four SM57, D112, Beta52, two MXL 603s, AT3035, Rode NT1.

Any suggestions on setup and how many mics should I use??

Please guys help,I have session this Sunday!!!!!

Well if you rented one studio or rented time in "a" studio, shouldnt they know how to set up the drums? Unless I misundastood the question?

I rented only the equipment and studio without engineer.

Basicaly I know how to setup drums for recording. I was just wandering what do you guys think how to get best use of that equipment, like should I use Amek Neve 9098 on kick and snare or on overheads with U87??

Thanks for reply!
