PLease help with hookup procedure for 2 soundcards.

I have SB Live and today purchased Audiophile 2496. I'd like to use SBLive for midi and Audiophile for audio, of course. I've got outs from both soundcards. Does this mean I have to go out from each soundcard to amp/speakers? I've just installed the hardware(card) and am about to install the drivers and software setup. Is there anything else I need to know anticipating the hurdles before me?

Yes, you need to combine the outputs of both soundcards via a mixer if you want to hear them both out the same speakers.

to to work with tracks in each individually you have to do what AlChuck explained.....

what i do when i need midi tracks is to do them first, record the midi tracks as audio tracks and from there, use the Audiophile only.....

if you go from the output of both cards and mix it and go to your monitoring system, you need a decent mixer...if you have one already thats fine....if you use a cheapo mixer, you are tampering with your monitor signal......
