Should I keep my mxl 990 and get the Presonus usb interface or get the PreSonus 1box?

then check out the MXL V67g for good and cheap or an EV RE20 for very good and middle of the road price for new and as much as half price for used.

v67g or if you need something cheaper an apex415. 990 won't come across right for your application.

I take it you mean the EV RE20 is out of budget.
Then go for the MXL V67g you can find it for $89.
