I have been using Cubase VST 5 with a Lynx one sound card and everything was fine. I recently bought a sound card with 8 I/O.
I can record fine. The problem is getting the sound to play back through all eight channels. I can only get it to play back through two. It will play back through 1/2 or 3/4 or 4/5, etc., but not all eight simultaneously. I have tried everything. Please help!!

okay, since no one else is taking a stab...

You say you have 8 I/O ....what is your soundcard hooked up to? Do you have the outputs going to a mixer or what? You don't mention the brand of soundcard, does it have a monitor out output on it? A little more info on your setup and we might be able to help you.

The sound card is a terratec ews 88 mt. The card links to a breakout box w/ 8 rca I/O. I then run to a mackie 1604. The card works fine with Logic 4.7 Platinum. I tried changing all the obvious settings and even bought a book but can't get it to work. Thanks for the help.

I am totally unfamiliar with that soundcard, man :(

If no one else here can chip in, I would really suggest going to your sound card manufacturers website and see if you can't get support from them. If you can't get more than two channels of audio to come in through that Mackie then it has to be a setting (or problem) with the soundcard.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Nothing more frustrating than having a s-load of cash in a system and to have one major problem that is holding up production. :(

Do you have the bus outputs 1 thru 3 in Cubase set to use adat channels 3&4, 5&6 and 7&8 respetively and set the individual track's output to one of these buses insterad of the master bus? It sounds like you've tried to assign the master bus of Cubase to different pairs of adat channels.
