I just recorded a lot of guitar tracks and they are all in mono. What is the best way to convert these tracks to stereo?

Thanks

Why do you want them in stereo? Generally you would leave them as mono tracks and just mix everything to a single stereo track at the completion of your project.

However, you can convert single tracks to stereo by selecting the specific track and then use the Bounce to Track command. You will get a selection menu when you execute the command where you can choose "mix to a single stereo track".

(Note - You may have to mute all the other tracks when you do this to exclude them, I can't recall the specifics and I'm not at my DAW. If it doesn't work properly without muting, then just mute them and do it again. Leave just the track you want to convert to stereo unmuted.)

Yes, you do have to mute all the tracks that you don't want to be included in the mixdown. Just selecting the track that you want to mixdown doesn't work (all the other tracks are still included.....unless their muted). :)

It still doesnt work

When I export the tracks the lead guitar is only in the right channel. I exported it as a stereo file, but it still is not right.

What do you mean it is not right? What's is it doing (ie. it's only playing out of one speaker) and what are you wanting it to do (be specific)?
