i need a good interface to run with Live 8 on a pc. Give me some ideas.

Before anyone can give you any useful suggestions you need to think about:
Budget?
USB, FW or PCI based?
Does it need Preamps and if so how many?
Total number of simultaneous inputs needed?
How many outputs needed?
Does it need to handle MIDI?
Do you need a mixer on the way in or a straightforward interface?

i just need something simple i do alot of drum machine and synth stuff where i don't need alot of tracks in. I use Live 8 for this stuff and i have a m audio interface(box). i just bought a UA 710 mic pre and a re 20. Now My M audio(box) is the weak link, so i need a 2 track mic pre that will hook up USB or Firewire, and has pretty good pre's on it.

I was kinda looking for people's opinions when i started this thread. But i guess i will have to pick for myself.
I think i like the apogee Duet, it looks like what i want Great A/D converts.
