I installed Cubase LE on my computer. I also have a Presonus FP10. I hooked it up EXACTLY like it said. I am getting a signal through my monitors but not on my input meters. It also doesn't record any sound. Here is a screen shot of what the Cubase looks like. The only thing that looks off to me is that it is set on Stereo In/ Stereo Out. It is suppose to say input 1 in or whatever input I'm trying to record. Please help me figure out how to switch it to INPUT 1. I can't figure it out and at this point am ready to punch my computer in the face. Thank you.

hey man give this a try. Open up cubase and go to the tab "devices". Then to device setup. Make sure you have the correct driver assigned. Then back in the tab "devices" open up VST conections and on the input tab you should be able to select your correct driver and then just to the left you can choose what input you want to assign.

hope it helps

Try creating another track but make it MONO instead of STEREO.

like the guy said before under devices select device setup then go to multimix or multitrack on the left hand side. you then get a selection of ASIO and MMEs select the one that says something along the lines of ASIO FP10 and then click switch.
after that go to Devices VST connections and then select input you should have stereo in 1 and the another stereo in 2 which will be input one and two on your sound card or 1+2 together.
if nothing is there the select create bus and you will get two inputs added
then in cubase on the left hand side select input and you will get an option of one or two and then output will be stereo out which is your monitors.
hopefully that should work.
also you can go through control panel and sound devices and select all of your defaults to the FP10 (sorry not sure what type of iterface this is i take it a firewire audio card?) make sure you get the ins and outs the right way round
then cubase should automatically recognise it as the default sound card.
hope this gives you an idea of what maybe to try. i had problems strating out with cubase and my pre sonus firebox.

You need to set your inputs up in Devices>VST Connections.

+1 with what everyone else is saying... Also, if your track is Stereo, you only get the stereo input for a selection. If it is Mono, you'll get either channel to select.

(Notice which track is highlighted)

Well I think I found one problem. When I open Device Setup there is no option for Multimix or Multi Track. The driver is set to the FP10 though. Anymore suggestions???????

Here is another screen shot.

sorry bout that

click on the DEVICES tab and then on VST CONNECTIONS. From there you "assign" the card's inputs and outputs and name them what you like, THEN they will be selectable from the channel strip i/o on the left hand side of the track view screen.
