do most digital recorders have this and would work with this? I was actually thinking of picking up the yamaha 12 track and getting this so I can transfer all the music onto the computer, but if I cant even do that how would I get around this..

I also found a midi cable to USB.. I wonder how that would work

Please some input!!

Well, there are a few problems, Sound Blaster is generally not considered professional equipment. You also need good software. Instead of going that route I would highly recommend the Presonus firebox. It is a great piece of equipment and includes midi i/o along with cubase le, which will get you started. It is only $300 and all you do is just plug it in via firewire. If you do not have a firewire port on your computer you can by a firewire card for about $40.

Far better option.

are you saying your card doesnt have any inputs?

Until you can get a better card, http://www.asio4all.com/ , will give you MUCH better performance in sensible recording apps

Even the most crappy soundcards have a line in [light blue jack]. You run the master outs from the Zoom [which are analog not digital] into the line in on the soundcard using an RCA to 1/8 adapter. MIDI has nothing to do with what you are doing.
