PLEASE HELLLP!!! Assigning sounds to midi

How do I assign sounds to my midi files using FL4 or Acid Pro 4.0?

For example I have a drum pattern midi file and I want to assign certain sounds to it. Please help if you can

In FL4 go to the File menu, then to Import, then to Midi File.

FL is supposed to work with either type of midi file - 0 or 1.
