So I uploaded another cover. Did the sound of the acoustic guitar improved? I think I setted up and tuned it properly but I'm not sure if it sounds better now.

First, your recording is pretty good. Acoustic is clear. Seems like your pitch is still just a little off. Might be the song style, but it seemed you were just off a tad. Take another go at it and check your pitch. When you have a raw sound like this, everything is under a microscope, but you're moving in a positive direction.

Ok! Noted! :) Yes, I have a bad pitch control but I will work on that! Thank you so much! :)

Hey, I personally like your voice a lot. Guitar playing was good, too. However... I could be wrong, but when I heard the first few chords from the guitar it immediately sounded out of tune to me. Also, the tone from the guitar was a little harsh, but I also often have that problem when I record guitar, esp. when recording vocal and guitar at the same time. Finally, I would try moving the mic just little closer to the guitar so the vocal isn't quite so dominating. Overall, good effort, very nice.

Normally, the best approach is to record separately to avoid the bleed so that you can adjust when mixing. That is why click tracks and timing is important when recording.

I agree with you on the tuning.

@Lance, do you have a tuner? They really don't cost much and you should tune right before you record. As much as most don't like to admit, a good recording consists of discipline. Practice the tune, keep a consistent time and tune all instruments before starting. If you really want to improve your recordings, even if it is HR, you still need to approach it as a serious activity. If you were building a boat at home, you would still bring your a game to the project. If you love your music, will love to give it the best presentation that you can.

Ok, the guitar sounds a bit better but still a tad out of tune. I was pulled up for this too, I absolutely cannot tune with my ears, and although it sounds alright to me, I know now that I have to check it with a tuner.

Did you record the guitar and vocals separately? It would be cool if you said what exactly you changed about the recording technique this time. Also, is this a cover, or your own material?

I think your voice is a bit off pitch in parts. And I think this is because, as someone mentioned before, you're trying too hard to be emotional. Which is great, don't lose it, but it sounds strained, like you're trying too hard to convince us. Maybe pretend you're singing to a girl (or guy) who's really cool, who will giggle if you over-do the emotion in your voice.

I would also work on your pronunciation. Try to learn the 'TH' sound when singing English. Hard one I know. English is not my first language either and so I know that the 'TH' is the most difficult thing. But it's a good one to learn if you want to make yourself sound convincingly English.

I see potential in what you do, and a passion and commitment. And so don't be discouraged by what I say. I don't mean to sound harsh or like I know it all, because I really don't. I'm just trying to tell you what I hear. I think with a few really simple changes to your mindset you'll go further a lot quicker.

You can do something better than what you're doing right now. I think you're trying to achieve a sound that isn't in sync with your voice. Sing something in your own language sometime, a song you know really well. Discover where your voice can go, and where it starts to feel the pressure. Try to find a song where you can sing comfortably without forcing anything.

Your voice is there, but I'm not convinced that the songs you're choosing for yourself are bringing it out.

Hi! Thank you! Maybe it sounds out of tune because of the capo? I really dont know but I know that i tuned the guitar very well before recording.. and i recorded the guitar and vocals separetly :)

Thank you so much! Btw, it is a cover :) I recorded the guitar and the vocals seperately but recording the acoustic guitar with a different mic placement (mic placed above and aimed above the soundhole) I know I have a bad pitch control but I promise I'll work om that :)

I use a capo a lot, I mean a lot, I mean a lot. If the Capo is throwing it out of tune, there must be something wrong with your guitar setup. While it is pretty much accepted, your guitar will not sound prefect throughout the neck, but the changes should only be slight. If you have a lot of distance with your strings, you may want to go and see if you can get someone to "true" out your neck/bridge.

When you put on the capo, try positioning it within the neck that gives you, less buzz, best tone and ability to play close to it. It could be the capo, but it shouldn't throw it out of tune so bad it can be heard. What type of capo are you using on what guitar?

I think it's in my guitar set up. I just use the generic capo thing, the one that you clip and stuff. I placed it in the first fret :)
