Im recording material for my current project at my home studio. This link is to a couple rough mixes I mixed this weekend. The tracks still have a few punch ins on vocals and some lead guitar that Id like to work more on but the songs are mostly together. Id appreciate any input! These are 256mbs mp3s btw.

Sounds like some good riffage going on. Trouble is, the vox are buried in the mix and need to be brought to the forefront for me to really get a feel for the songs. Maybe a little more dry signal on the vox and a bit of a volume boost would do the trick?

Thanks, I kinda thought the same but I hate overly loud vox in a mix so I may have been overly cautious. Ill try slightly less wet vox. and tweak their level / eq a bit more! Thanks

Pretty good tunes, but I'm afraid I really don't dig the voice coming from just one side. It's loud enough but it's getting lost. Otherwise the mix and the playing sound really good. If you've got vocals in a song then they should be the focal point.... and your voice is pretty good.

Well the voice is actually coming from both sides but I was playing with antares throat modeling and it affects one side kinda different from the other. I didnt realize how noticable the effect was in the mix. I think ill kill antares on the main vocal now that you mention it. Ill prob keep it on the backing/doubled track . Thanks !
