When I was in Florida I needed a little battery powered amp to take to the beach. A local music store had a couple of Pignoses, Marshalls, a Fender, and the Danelectro. The guy running the store did a double take when I plugged into the Danelectro, along with about 3 or 4 other people in the store. The overdrive on that thing is pretty raunchy in a cool way. Do you like yours?

Seeing as it's my amp he's talking about, I'll answer.

I like it, it kicks ass. If you're bored one day, put it in a tumble dryer with a mic to record it (don't turn the dryer on. obviously ;) ). Close the door, and be prepared to be......

Scared. It's a weird sound. Even better is if you put the amp in one end of a huge oil drum, and the mic in another. Or, put the amp in a bass drum with your mic. Or...

Hell, you get the picture. Weird, natural reverb, with some strange metallic overtones.

I always wanted one of those guitars with the speaker built in (I forget the name) but now they have effects built in too.

There use to be this guy in San Diego who went around Downtown playing one of these guitars.

Fernandez Nomad. Kick ass little machines. If I had one of those...well, I'd probably piss a whole lotta people off all the time.

Great effects too.

Maybe I'll try to put a 6" speaker inside of the body I want to project out. Now that would be a cool project.

I don't think the nomad comes with a Floyd. I'm sure the wiring wound't be that difficult.

Probably not - I'd just buy a honeytone and gut it, route out a cavity and fit it all in. Minimal wiring - you'd just want to wire the output jack so that it can bypass the onboard amp when needed.

capn, what type of body do you have for your project? it might be tought fitting a 6" speaker in guitar body.

It's a fender/jackson type.
