Hi, i have the following problem while trying to record a song: if I record more than 10 seconds or so on a track and then playback it i get some delay between this last track and the rest of them. I tested using a metronome like so: i recorded once 1 min of ticks on a track and then i made another track and recorded again the metronome (i made sure they match:) ). After 10 seconds the tracks begin to un-sync. This hapens on playback and on recording too. I used the metronome from my guitar processor, also tried to record something over a drum loop made on computer, the same thing happens.
I use a Sempron 2400+ with 256DDRam and SBLive! on Windows XP and Windows Me...using either Multiquence, Cool Edit Pro, nTrack..whatever...the same thing happens. I previously recorded very well on a K6-2 400Mhz with 64M RAM using the same software. Also tried using the onboard sound card. No difference. Anyone has any idea why might this happen? Thank you very much.

Do a search here on Latency. It's a common issue and I have to say your Sound Blaster card will not be helping.

Try recording at 48kHz. Anything else and the Soundblaster is forced to re-sample on the fly and that can/will introduce track lag.
Soundblaster's operate natively at 48kHz so it's best to just stick to that sample rate until final mixdown.
