Look at NSAI, also. They might have a local chapter. Don't think that because it has 'Nashville' in the name that it is only for country music, it covers songwriting in general.

Great advice Chili - I totally forgot about that - there are tons of songwriting groups and stuff. There is stuff on Facebook about it all the time - that might be because I joined one of those songwriting groups...
