Hi:
I was just wondering, does anybody know of a reputable website where one can buy used digital pianos and other used instruments that are affordable of great quality or even good as new? I'm basically looking for something other than Musicians Friend and Guitar Center so I can have some different options. Also, in a similar vein, has anyone bought any digital pianos or instruments off of ebay? If so, how was your experience?
If you could answer my questions, I would deeply appreciate it.
Thank you.

I've bought a Selmer Super Action 80 alto sax off ebay ..... 2500 bucks. And I've bought a Roland XP60 and a SWR bass amp off the bay.
No problems ...... all were as described and arrived quic kly and in good shape.
I bought a CD recorder that didn't work quite right and the seller was an unbelievable prick that quickly started making physical threats. But I do believe that's not very common.

You got to know what you're doing and you need to know the instrument well enough to make a decent judgement from photos as to how it is.

Locally you can look on craigs list that way you can physically see you purchase before making a decision.

although then you've got to be careful it's not some sort of set-up to murder you and steal your car.

I stop by my local music store periodically and have found some great deals. Found a Kurzweil 2600xs like new with a flight case for around $800. Found a 10 year Carvin mixer FX1644 used for one production in a flight case for about $400. I've found a couple rare vintage Fender amps too.

The best part is you help support your local music store which is an invaluable resource IMHO.

I keep forgetting that can happen in the big cities. Like I've said in the past up here in NH I don't even lock my doors and all of the vehicles have the keys right in the ignitions!

did you ever send me your address?

:D

Man, I'm from Baton Rouge which is basically a s New Orleans suburb.

I don't even walk down my driveway to check the mail without locking my door.

Yes I did along with a picture of myself, wife and 7 children all sporting our shotguns!

In the words of the great Mr. T ... I pity the fool!
