pitch perfector plugins

i know its hated but anything like autotone or something that can be used like a plugin i think the guy recording us is using a multitrack program that uses vst please help

I don't know how well it's gonna work with screamin vocs. It'll probably work okay if you're doing screams with pitch, kinda like Linkin Park type stuff. Use it like any other plugin with your recording software. Tell it what key & mode the song is in, and play with the faders until it sounds like you want it to. If you only want to fix parts of it, you can bring the whole vocal track into a wav editor, and apply fixes to selected parts.

The Autotune stuff is really only there for extreme effects, or to fix occasional clams... it really doesn't work on an entire melody line (unless you want to sound line Britney!)

Actually, I had a bass part, played all right, but on a worn out bass that wasn't " in tune with itself" all the way up the fretboard. There was one note that was completely out of tune, I tried several times to play it again, that note just couldn't be played in tune in that fret. So .... just for the fun of it ( I didn't expect it to work ) I loaded the file in sf5 and processed it with the Antares autotune .... the file sounded great after that. Hats off to Antares

Autotune works quite fine on an entire line if you use the graphical mode. In fact, I wouldn't suggest the auto mode at all - as the program frequently makes "bad" decisions. However, in graphical mode YOU make the pitch decisions. Plus with the audition feature you can make sure it is OK before committing.

Why ... I'm not a bass player but a guitarist and pc freak, next time I'll try to borrow a better one

we arent using antares on the screaming, but we have some singing parts during the mellow/clean channel parts in the songs. the antares will probably be used for that
