I'm looking for info on any quality pitch correction plugins for Sound Forge / Vegas on a PC... I've heard of Antares Autotune and Celemony Melodyne, but they're pretty costly and would like to learn more before I make the plunge.

Any insights or recommendations would be great. Also, any FREEWARE pitch correctors would be even better!

wow, as far as freeware goes, not too sure. I use Antare Autotune, and I think it's amazing. I try to live by the idea of, "if you can't sing it, then you shouldn't be trying." But I get Ashley Simpson types all the time, so it's a staple in my rig.

thanks guys.... so it sounds like Antares is worth it..... I suppose I'll give it a go - they offer a 10 day free trial

as a follow up.... do either of these programs graphically analyze the intonation of the signal (vocal, for example) so I could visually see where the pitch is off??? I'm sure it would help to see in addition to hearing the problem!

Auto-tune does (it's called "graphical mode"). Not sure about others.
