Pioneer RT-909

Hello All:

1. Does anyone have an opinion on the Pioneer Rt-909.

2. Perhaps better buys?

3. If I were to go with the Pioneer, the manual suggests Scotch 206/207 tape. That was 25 years ago. Anything better now?
