In some ways it sounds like an update of Julie Cruise from the Twin Peaks soundtrack.
I kept trying to listen through the effects to the original voice.
If you could, at least in a few spots have the real voice layered on top of the effects this would be even more effecting.
My very 1st impression was that the song belonged within BladeRunner.
It's good stuff with impressionistic lyrics - instead of the play of light it's the play of sound from words.
Don't stop - keep that version/mix and fiddle some more.
 
I think it could be a great song if the vocals were not so ludicrous. TBBH, who wants to listen to that crap? The song without the lyrics the way they are is really nice and I want to hear it.

I would love to hear it again with a better vocal mix. Other than that, I really like the song.

You can please some people sometimes, but you can't please all the people all the time...

I think I'll not worry too much about it and just do me.
 
Yeah, you've got a great voice, you shouldn't hide it with cheap gimmicks. I like Ray's suggestion about blending in the original vocal over top of the effects.

All else sounds good. A nice soundscape.

Ah, I was actually going to reply to this, but you took it down. Why? I thought it was all right.

I think anything anyone does musically that I couldn't replicate myself pretty cool in itself. I heard your version of 'Creep' and I think there's no need to cover your voice with effects, it's great on its own. Having said that, it's good to experiment & stray from your normal thing once in a while, so kudos.

Lyrics are always subjective, but I thought the dis-jointed lyrics fit the song quite well. Mind you, unless the lyrics are bigoted or say 'Trish is an arsehole' I just take them for face value and what the artist is feeling. Freedom of speech and all that. :D

I wish you did not take it down. My comments were my own and they should not matter so much to you. Everything is subjective and that's what I thought. Maybe I could have been less harsh but it is what it is. I look forward to hearing more of what you have to offer because what you have to offer is really nice. I just didn't like the way the vocals were effected.
 
Triquee has a problem accepting criticism. She took her toys and went home. :(
 
Looks like she's left us as her status is now GUEST.
Perhaps she's off for some resilience training.
 
I'm glad this happened. Because last time she couldn't take criticism or advice after she was rude and arrogant, some of us were accused of being "mean" to her., and then a few guys tried to be hero's, which I'm sure they wouldn't have done if it wasn't a chick.

I think this thread shows she has a problem dealing with......well, pretty much everything.
