Pickup for what, recording, live or both? For recording I wouldn't use any kind of pickup - micing is the way to go, for my purposes anyway. For live - that's a whole other ballgame, and a pickup would be a good idea. I can't mention any specific's, what is your budget?- they range in price from $30 to 1000's.
