I use an Akai S6000 and a Korg Kontrol49. I set half the drum pads on the 49 for toggle mode and map them to various samples and loops in an Akai program. It works great. It beats the old days when I used strips of electrical tape to hold down the keys on a FZ-1 sampler

Korg Triton

Korg Triton workstation is very popular for studio recording. And it does allow you to use via computer usb, or midi connect. Depends on your budget thou.

Of course any keyboard/synth that fully functions as a sampler could probably work too.

a piano or device that lets me use sounds ive created on my computer. i want to transfer violin loops and sounds to each key so i can play them live on my shows. i dont know anything about this except for describing what i want.
