I'm new here and I have read other posts with a similar problem to mine. I've tried all the suggestions in those but still have the issue.
I am recording on a desktop PC with Cubase 5 and a Phonic Helix Board 12 Firewire mixer.
I've had them both for years and they've been fine, but now the mixer has developed a hum which is only audible on the recording. There is no hum from the speakers. I have disconnected everything except the Firewire Cable and muted every channel. It's still there and shows up as a low level signal on the Cubase Mixer Console. The AC adapter does not have an earth cable, but even so, I tried plugging it into another socket. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers and the drivers are up to date. Short of buying a new mixer, does anyone have any suggestions?
