So I got a Phonic Helix 18 FW today, and I've been trying to set it up with my computer. But everytime I load the drivers, it will detect the helix but then it says "An error has occurred, try installing the drivers again." I've tried many different things, 3 different computers. I'm not a comp noob, either, I'm a very knowledgeable computer user. But I can't get this thing to work.

Has anyone had this problem with their helix, or know of a way to fix it?

I have one. The drivers are rock solid and I had no problem at all.. which isn't very helpful.

It should not be plugged in until after you install the drivers. Could that be it?

The Phonic site threw up this re 64 bit xp pro ,, could that apply? http://www.phonic.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1153&nav=0,2

I've made sure that the helix isn't turned on/plugged in before I install it. And I've tried what they said there, except without the 64bit drivers etc and it still doesn't work. I emailed phonic, and if they can't help me I'm sending it back. I bought it used and the guy who sold it to me said he couldn't get it working either, so it may be defective unit or something.
