phone company copyright??

is there any kind of copyright that prohibits the use of "we're sorry this number can not be completed as dialed" or any computer voices? i have some at the end of my newest recording and this just came into my head.

you should actually call the copyright offices to inquire. i doubt calling 411 will answer your question.

I've heard that same clip before on a few different commercial songs. I wouldn't think there would be a copyright on it, but what do I know? I'm guessing the phone company won't come after you...but hey you never know.

Try using AOLs 'you've go mail' and see how many lawyers you have on your doorstep.

It will be a lot cheaper (and safer) for you to get a voice over guy and record it yourself.
