Anyone got a musicians friend link or reference to a high quality cost effective phase switch?

Cost effective? The cheapest solution is to make some 1 foot male-female XLR cables with pins 2 and 3 swapped. Label them as polarity-swappers, and keep them in your toolbox. Neutrik and Switchcraft also make polarity-swapping barrel connectors (male/female XLR in the same housing), but they cost a little more- maybe 15 bucks. Neutrik's part number for this is PRS. Shure also makes a barrel connector with a switch in it to selectively swap polarity: their part number is A15PRS, and it sells for about $40: but watch out for horrific switching noise when you flip it. You can get all this stuff at http://www.markertek.com , and their site has a good search engine...

It's trivial to put in a polarity changer in series at the preamp input, if your preamps don't have the switch...

Well I am experiencing a polarity issue when micing the front and back of my 2X12 combo. So I just need to have someting that is always reversed polarity for that input. So thanks skippy.

Once agin, I find my self saying, what skippy said. The only thing I would say is that I always make mine in XLR barrels.

HEHE,

Well I did this finally, Light. I just opened one end of a mic cable and reversed pins 2 and 3. Since my local guitar center said they didnt carry them, (Imagine that). So far so good. I'll keep you posted as to the results.
