I have 2 Terretec Phase 88s which should give me 16 I/O but it is only showing 12 In 10 Out! ANy help would be greatly appreciated! I am using SONAR 3 PE and have tried ASIO as well. I think it is probably just a setting somewhere, maybe in the PHASE 88 Control Panel. Anyone have any ideas?

I find it hard to belive that NO ONE in the world has had this problem! Surely someone has to have an idea what my problem could be! Anyone?

A friend of a friend has a Terratec card with 4in/4out - there was nothing he had to do under Sonar to get it to address all of these correctly.

Check under OPTIONS-AUDIO-DRIVERS and make sure that all 16in/outs are selected for use with Sonar.

If that doesn't work, I would backup and delete your AUD.INI file, re-open Sonar and let it re-profile the Terratec card.

If that doesn't work, I would make sure you have the latest drivers for the Terratec card.

If that doesn't work, I would try and see if it worked using the older MME driver model.

Based upon that information, I would then make life a living hell for either Terratec, (if I suspected the drivers), or Cakewalk, (if I suspected the application), until they told me how to fix it.

Given the fact that ASIO did the same thing as WDM, I would say you haven't turned all the devices on, (as per my first step). If that isn't the case, I would be starting to look at other demo programs to see if they showed all the outputs correctly. If they also didn't see the outputs then it may be indicative of a hardware conflict.

Thanks for the reply Qwerty!

You have given me a couple of other things to try. I already, downloaded the latest Terretec Drivers and SONAR drivers to no avail. The support for Terretec has yet to reply to my request. I have other issues that I need to tend to as well. Fellow SONAR users should know this:

How can I set my outputs 1 and 2 on the Terretec to be the Main Outs of SONAR... ie, output 1 = left output 2 = right? Ordinarily (using factory soundcard C-Media) the main outs of that card will be set as main outs left and right, but I have taken that card off the list and even disabled it in device manager. I don't see an option for assigning outputs as Mains! Any light anyone can shed would be helpful!

Can you do this -

- Go into OPTIONS-AUDIO-DRIVERS and make sure you see all the in's and out's for the card.
- Make sure they are all highlighted
- Go back to the first tab of OPTIONS-AUDIO and make sure that the playback and recording timing masters are set to the appropriate Terratec drivers.
- Go to the Master output or the VMain output in the mixer window and make sure their output are pointing to the right Terratec output driver.

Tell us where ya get lost in the above.
