I just have a quick question about phantom power. when you have it on can you still plug a direct line from say an acoustic/electric without hurting the acoustic? i know that or at least ive heard that plugging a dynamic mic in while the pantom power is on can possible be bad for the dynamic mic. and if phantom power is bad with direct lines is there a remedy. Thanks alot to evey one for helping use newbies. -Jingleheimer-

If you are using a DI, no problem.

If you are going into the 1/4" line input, no problem. Phantom power is only on the XLRs.

If it is an XLR from your guitar to the board XLR, most likely it will not be a problem, the mfr. of the electronics will know for sure. Most likely the only problem would be lots of scary noise, and you would unplug before hurting anything anyway.

As far as dynamic mics, it won't be a problem. It sometimes was, back in the stone age of audio, with mics wired a certain way. Hasn't been a problem for many many years.

I would be less worried about your guitar and more worried about your monitors and headphones:D
