hello

i have a hear back pro and an audient asp4816 console.
now i would like to wire the hub of hear back system to the console but i have a doubt:

1. can i use aux outputs ? if yes, how to do it? in the hub i ve got 16 analog inputs

2. i don't have direct outs so can i use insert sends?

3. can i use sub group out?

thanks and sorry

1. Yes. Send sub mixes to the aux buss(es), i.e., drums, so you can control the volume of a group of tracks once you get them balanced.

2. Yes. Insert your plug until it just clicks once. Then the tip will be contacting the ring (send) of the jack without interrupting the signal flow.

3. Yes. Just like the aux sends.

sorry but i haven't understand point 1

i have 6 aux sends but they have one xlr cable each. so how do i send all the 16 channels to the hear back?

then i have insert send and insert return so i don't have the problem of the truss cables i think

What kind of mixer is it?

On the ones I've used that have auxes, you assign individual channels to an aux to create a separate mix.

The effects insert will break the signal if you plug a cable all the way into it. It's designed to be both an output and an input in one jack.

That console is nice! you can use the aux sends for each channel to route to the headphone amp, How many mixes do you want? just run the aux out to the input of the headphone amp, if you only want 1 mix then use aux 1 for the headphone send on each channel, just dial in what you want to be sent to the headphone mix, you could set up a mix on each aux send but that gets complicated to keep up with. I did see a foldback feature on page 38, that is another term for monitors. not sure how it works. :D

ok i understand but in this way i can't use the personal mixer because in it arrives a mix made by aux pots of console. for example if i would have direct outs i could run every channel signal to the personal mixer and everybody could have its own mix made by himself

I dont understand, do you run each input into a channel on the desk? if so then the aux sends can be a separate mix, say the guitar is in channel 1, you have the aux out 1 going to the headphone amp, go to channel 1, turn up the aux send 1, will this not route the signal to the aux 1 buss? this is basically how a monitor desk works. you can have 6 headphone mixes by using the aux sends.

yes but i would like to route every single channel to a hear back pro personal monitor and every musicians makes his own mix

Oh hell, you do have a direct out for each channel,( I missed it the 1st time) your desk has a send and a return for each insert, (Page 26 of the manual, #3 and #6) these are direct outs, most inserts are TRS in one connection. that will do exactly what you want.:thumbs up:

yes this is what i was asking
so i can go like this: insert send from console to hear back hub input?
and do i have to come back to the insert return? the hear back hub doesn't have any output
this is the manual http://www.heartechnologies.com/downloads/Hear-Back-PRO-Brochure.pdf

yup, run each channel send (page 26, #3) into a input on the hear back. you do not have to use the return on the channel. not sure if the insert send is PFL or AFL, I would think PFL. :D
