Damn, that song gets me...
The fiddling couldn't be more fair and the mix did it justice just fine.

Good listening!!

"On behalf of the only gifted musician involved in this project (i.e., the violinist) "Thanks."

What a dink you are.

Everyone knows that a good song is easy to play on, a great song is shear joy, like you want to keep overdubbing because it's so much fun.

I've got two mixes in my Chris Harris folder- the first one goes over the opening credits the violin mix goes over the ending credits. Credits to what? A really good movie directed by someone who knows good music.

Sweet!
Beautiful violin playing.
Really brings the nuances of the song out.

But give credit where credit is due!;)
It's a really fine song with a great vocal performance!

I give it a 9.5,just add a little more cowbell,and I'd say you definatly have a 10!:D

Great work!

Best to you,
Pete

Theron - I don't deserve that. BUT I'LL TAKE IT!! I'm flattered that the song seemed to speak to you...you childless freak!!! :D

Stratomaster - I'm really glad you seemed to get what I was going for. I appreciate the comment.

Boydrj - Thanks for listening (twice). I'll work on bumping the cowbell level.

bobbo - BAHAHAHAhaha..."good everything." Man, not a lot I can do with that. Thanks.

JJcorair - Well Mr. Title, you certainly put me in my place. It was maybe the coolest thing you could have possibly said. Floored me. I'm waiting patiently for the next tune...(doesn't everybody here post 2 songs a day???).

Scott Tansley - You're still here...right? Say, yes. Ummm..thanks for listening, and responding...and just generally contributing. You did so BEFORE your name was "mud," and I sure hope you keep posting, dammit

Jamal - "Premature Evacuation." heheheh... Yeah, I listened to more. Thanks for the lyrical nod.

Pete: That was pretty "special." (And yes, of course I knew you were kidding about the singer comment). FINISHED THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED YET???

Finally, DavidK is just great. I don't care about all that stuff that you guys keep telling me in your PM's about him being an arrogant, selfish prick; I don't care that he apparently houses several species of small farm animals for his own perverted sexual indulgence. I just don't care. Music Matters, felonies don't :D. Thanks again, Dave.

Sincere Thanks,

What's your point?:D

For the last time, MORE COWBELL:mad:

Well hell,

You know, all this time, I thought ya'll were kidding about the cowbell. But I added it, and boy was I surprised.

I must say, this mix is now PERFECT!

I worked REALLY hard on this, and I appreciate you guys sticking with me. In my ignorance, I had omitted the final element. At first, I found the COWBELL a tad harsh, but then I ran it through my Crybaby "Wah" pedal, and that helped it sit real nice.

But then, it started losing some presence, so I added a reverb known only as "AMBIENT METAL ROOM."

Oh my Lord, is this thing sweeet now. I kinda' used all the effects in alternating fashion.

DavidK - I hope this pleases you, my friend. I think you'll love it.

Chris, you're getting closer. The cowbell is good but it need smore verb, more compression, and upwards expander, a downwards compounder, a LOT of BBTTE and some other things that I'll think of later. Oh, and push the level up in the mix.:D

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
COWBELLS RULE!!!!!!! WHAT!? SPEAK UP!!!!

More BBTTE you say?

Oh man...........that's the funniest thing I've ever heard!!!! I've got to got to go to the bathroom now. :D:D

Awsome!!

This is a great song. I LOVE the violin....Alot....

I think it could be EQ'd a bit warmer, but just a bit.

Great job man

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
man, I laughed to tears .......

cowbell should be a little warmer too ... :D

LMAO!!!!WEEEE!LMAO!

Cowbell needs to be a little more out front.

I think a Flanger would set this tune apart from all others. You should get the billboard charts in your sight now....the cowbell has elevated this tune to another level.

This is so good it's scary.

Nice, sounds like you have a talent for lyrics, like the song, violin is great. As for the cowbell version, what can I say, you can't improve on perfection! What make of cowbell is that? :)

Jags

Chris, you should get your hearing Checked.

Needs more Cowbell

The new version with cowbell really rocks! If there were any problems with the mix to begin with, those problems have completely vanished. Totally disappeared! I mean, its freakin' genius how you solved everything. One healthy dose of BBTTE and this sucker is RADIO READY!

Did you play the cowbell yourself or hire a studio cat for the tracks? Whoever did it sounds like he really has a mastery of the bell.

Breathtaking in its beauty and ambitious in its scope, I now think this is the anthem for everyman--the rallying cry of all generations--the music that can bring us all back to the Godhead, or at least the goathead. :D
