Finished tracking the R&B cat I'm working with about 2 weeks ago... Gave him a few mixes to start some promotions with... I'd like ya'll to give me some feed back on em.

Dude did all his tracks... All I did is the tracking and mix. I gotta do the last 7 cutz then i'ma go back and fuck with these til we get em finished off. Shits looking real good...

Smile: I'm really likin' the beat here. Makes me wanna get up and start dancing about (And I'm a bad dancer!) His vocals are good, though they need to be louder: they're a bit hard to hear. I like this song, and I'm not a big fan of RnB.

She Was My Girl: A nice, slow pace, good vibe to this beat. Vocals still need to bit a litter louder, but they're still good.

The Joke: A nice jazzy feel to this one. The vocal levels sound right on this one - I like the main and female backing vocals.

Feels Good: A lively drumbeat, but a soulful beat in general. Very nice beat on this one. The vocal levels are a little low again.

Hell, it's all good!
 
Preciate that Abyss... That's the kinda feedback I'm looking for. I'm thinking the vocals where too loud. He was saying too low. My opinion in the end usually goes so it's good to have outside veiws. I'll make a note of your comments and look at em.

Glad you can feel em... I'm not a R&B guy myself...

Smile- sounds good the hats are kinda hi.....probably needs to be sunk some the lead vocals are buried in the mix. Sounds dam good tho

The joke was a different feel but still sounds cool. reminds me of a modern day lou Rawls. I like it. I could just chill to it. pour up some V.S.O.P and kick back

Together it has more of a jazzy r&b sound, shows a lot of diversity without going from one extreme to the other

Preciate that Soundboy and Ldylee... Glad to get some feedback... Specially with this being my first RnB project... I'm thinking this project is going real good. All the other songs are as tight or maybe tighter... Hope to have this project done by the end of January. I'll definatly let ya'll peep some more when we got it.

I know Sol is RnB tuff... Hopefully I can get a word.
 
I don't know that I'm completely qualified to give advice, but I will say that you obviously have a lot of talent. I can hear how deep your thoughts are........we haven't heard your best for sure!!

I wanted to add to a few of the comments, I agree with Abyyss that the vocals should be a little louder on Smile and The Joke. I also think you could warm your bass a little and bring up the kick drum.

The Joke aint no Joke...........Man it's widit!! Feel so Good......nice chord structure......let us know when you CD is done!!

Finally, I think you should shop around for a web host that has a little stronger server, the load time is a little long and there is way too much buffering and I have a T1 line.

Yo, the vocals gotta come up (no doubt) and a few things gotta get beef'd up in the vocals and in a few areas of the music... I hear ya. Preciate that ya'll.

B- diddy... We are thinking on some web setups right now.... When we get the cd done then we can run to the money cats and do things up right... ;)
