I hate Antares for what they have done for "singing" and current modern music, but this guitar sure has some interesting features.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried one out.

Hmmm - T Pain out of a guitar... or just pain... Looks like quite the gimmick. Artifacts might be an issue?
What do they actualy do - modify the signal out of the jack or adjust the tuners? Bends might be a problem.
I'll just tune my own guitar - I like it simple....

From the description, bends are not a problem. I don't know if it mechanically tunes at all - there was a device that did that several years ago but never caught on.

Gibson had the motorized tuners and computer onboard. I never used the system, but it looked clunky on the guitar.

Fret-King has the motorized bridge. This system looks slick and doesn't change much appearance or weight to the guitar.

The Peavey AT guitar is all processing. The physical guitar is still out of tune. The electronic sound from the guitar is in tune. Seams very odd to me.

Obviously not something terribly organic but probably a bit like HR gear in that it brings the thing closer to everyone.
Interestingly there are no vids or audio samples on the page.

Well searched Gerry.
It is amazing - probably would've been interesting to hear it ultra clean but it is what it is.
I know I was laughed at a lot when I 1st bought an electronic tuner - derided actually and now they're more than commonplace.
& $500 is pretty cheap - my 1st tuner was $80 back in 83 - what'd that be worth these days?
Still don't want one though.

I've actually had a go on them. I totally understand the controversy but I was blown away! I just love the idea of being at a gig and not tuning between songs. Sound good clean, fun working out different tunings. They have MIDI sockets for external control and firmware updates. If you go on the Antares Auto-Tune for guitar website you can see some interesting videos of the what I'm assuming was the prototype. I know that the Parker Fly one has all the bells and whistles (pick up modelling, 12 string tuning, virtual capo) and the Peavey (at the minute) is just tuning.

I would be interested in the system, but the guitar itself doesn't do anything for me.
