I have not used the line of mixers you are referring to, but I have always had great luck with Peavey mixers in the past. I still have an old Peavey 808 Studio Mixer which functions flawlessly.. I am curious about these mixers too, as they have models with USB. I'm wondering if the difference between the USB and non USB models is as simple as just a missing usb port, like I was told. I have no way to confirm this without buying a unit and tearing it apart..

As for the quality, the mixers aren't top end, but they should be reliable. It'll probably do everything that you need it to do, and should last quite a while, as long as you know that there are higher quality (and generally higher priced) units to be had. All of the peavey gear I've owned has been good to me though.
