Midnight Blue *neck-thru* 4-string bass: '89 Peavey Dyna-Bass Unity Series with active 3-band eq, P/J configured pickups, Ebony fingerboard, Maple neck and Poplar body wings. Black hardware with side-to-side adjustable Schaller (stock) bridge. Silky, dark tone, very easy to play.
I got super-props for the tone of this bass at a reggae gig, from the band we opened for at the Ocean Mist one night. I have to sell to get set up with other gear, and I have two other basses- so here's your chance to own a classic they don't make anymore.
There is a strap-jig / modification to the back of the neck, which causes the bass to want to sit in a more upright orientation to the player. The cool thing about this really is that there's no "neck-dive"; this bass ordinarily tends to be neck-heavy. Now it just sits where you put it when it's strapped on (this jig can, upon request, be removed and repaired to a more 'original' state). Also there's a nice Mahogany thumbrest, for right-hand anchoring from the P-type pickup to the end of the fingerboard.
$250 is a taker- comes with original hard-shell case. Call Rog at (401) 349-4456 or email. All questions fielded; not into trades.
Thanks for looking.
