PCMCIA Expansion card for QS8.2

I've been using the QS8.2 for a year now and have decided to purchase an expansion card to save midi files to.

Does anyone know where they can be purchased? I have tried in vain to locate anyone who actually has one that fits the necessary specs.

I have an Alesis QS 6.1, and had the same problem.

I found out that the Midi Store has them in stock at a retail price of $75 for an 8 MB card (you don't want to buy the 2 MB or 4 MB variety, I guess). They are US located, but I was able to purchase one quite recently with great success! Delivery time (to Europe, Denmark) was about 3 weeks, and the card works perfectly! (sadly, the price has just gone up, I got my card for $69 plus customs duty and shipping/handling)

Go here to order one for yourself. I think Alesis should offer the possibility to bundle those cards with their QS range at a comparative price, as the card greatly expands the possibilities and capabilities of the instrument.

I had to have a PCMCIA card for my DDX3216. I got a PCMCIA 4 in 1 media reader like this one. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=50286950&pfp=SEARCH

I use smart media cards with it. This may be an option for you. I'm not sure. Search under the key words Flash Media reader and find these kind of adapters.
