This seems to be hot off the press because it hasn't even been added to E-MU Systems news section yet.
Here is a quick summary of the OP.
Basically it says that the 0404, 1212, and 1616m are now going to come in PCIe. They are running PCIe x1 and have a 400Mb/s transfer. Which the E-MU people brag is 4x faster than PCI in both directions. The prices don't seem to be much different than the originals:
0404 PCIe..................... $119.99
1212M PCIe.................. $169.99
1616M PCIe.................. $449.99
The drivers have been updated and some software has been added to the bundle. Some Waldorf stuff has been added.
I'm quite excited about this release. I'm running the PCI version of the 0404 right now and I can't wait to see how the 1616m PCIe performs. More speed hopefully will translate into less of a bottleneck and ultimately better latency at higher buffer settings in my DAW. Driver updates are always welcome too. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
