Ok, here's a motherboard picture...

...the biggest image I could find without doing too much looking around. It's a DEC board with an Alpha cpu, but it will serve the purpose. See that white slot about midway down right under the big card that's sticking out? That's a PCI slot. If it doesn't look like that, then it's probably not a standard PCI slot.
Reason I asked about it being a Performa is that Apple didn't sell the Powermac 6200 here in the US, it was sold in Asia only. They replaced it with the Performa 6200 everywhere else. That VCR sized machine is what I was thinking of. Nice that it doesn't take up desk space and is easy to carry, but not good if you ever plan to expand it.
