"Hi, I'm in Delaware."
This might be the wrong place to ask this, but do they make adapters for PCI cards so that I could plug it in to a laptop via firewire? My desktop has always been really stupid and never works for more than a year at a time, so it'd be nice if I could just give up on trying to use it for serious work. If they do make these, where can I find them? Thanks.

I meant something so that I could take a PCI card (my Aardvark card) and plug it into an adapter that has a firewire out so I can plug it into my laptop. I mean... I guess it would be more complicated than that because of drivers, but does something like that exist?

Not currently, no.

Dag. Guess I just have to fix the desktop for the millionth time...

No way, I just got the Aardvark. I love it.

Jesus. I'm glad someone makes one, but that is a bit much. I just got a new mobo and case instead. Way cheaper.
