What I have is a Gadget Labs Wave 8-24. The Wave 8-24 was hot stuff a few years ago. I'm curious if its a/d converters are lousy compared to what's out there now? How much am I missing by not having an RME, for example? How does its converters compare to current E-mu and M-audio pci hardware?

It's not that I am finding any problems. I just might be unaware of something. I don't know.

You can see the a/d conversion is really all I am worried about because everything about this card & box I like very much even if there is no "Gadget Labs" anymore.

I used to have that same card until it died. To replace it I went with the Layla 24/96, and I found it to be a bit of an improvement over the GadgetLabs card. But I was pretty fond of the old 824 before it snuffed it.
