Patchbay's

Can someone shed some light on how to hook up a patchbay? (Sorry guys but im a rookie!) I have yamaha DM2000 mixer (using as analog) with nuendo 3.2 software and an Avalon 737, UA 6176, TC electronic TC M2000, and two Behringer ultrapatch Pro's ( I know i heard!). I usually record everything seperate instrument by instrument. I Payed alot of money for all these things and just want to be able to use it. Thanks!
