patchbay

anyone know of a GOOD tutorial on using regular patchbays (not midi, i'll get to that later)?

i've searched the net (which is how i found this forum) but the few that i could find just confused me (an admittedly easy task). i have been assembling a small studio in my home for returning to the music that i love -- i acquired one and feel, on a vague , instinctual level, that it would benefit my increasingly complex setup (i'll write the full details of it, if anyone is interested).

hopefully, you all can help me down the road of knowledge.......

Mine came with a one page instruction sheet that pretty much summed up everything you could do with it.

You might try going to the manufacturer's web site to see if they have a PDF version of their instruction sheet. They might even be willing to fax you one if you give them a call.

Even without instructions they are pretty simple to operate. I plugged all the outputs from my gear into the top row on the back of the patch bay, all of the inputs are plugged into the bottom row. On the front of the unit I use short cables to connect inputs to outputs according to my needs.
