I have Cubase VST 5.1 and a Delta 66 on a P4 with plenty of hard drive space & memory.
I had recorded two tracks or parts (channels 1 & 2, kick & snare) that I can still see in the arrange window, but that can't be heard when I press "play".
The two inaudible tracks are not muted. The rest of the parts/tracks play back fine. The audio setup is exactly as it was when the two parts were initially recorded and audible on playback.
I've tried copying the same part from another location (it's a long story, but I had a copy of the missing tracks) and pasting it over the existing non-audible waveform, but then the new copy won't play either (i.e., it's the same problem, it's there, but doesn't get heard on playback). It's as if the system ignores or no longer recognizes the two tracks on playback.
The only thing I can think of is that I may have unwittingly activated (or de-activated) something in the course of editing files (cutting & pasting etc). As I say, the audio set up is the same, and I just can't seem to spot anything that might have caused the problem.
Any ideas on how to correct his, and avoid it in future?
Thanks for your help,
Rio
