partitioning hard disks

Hi all,

Again a thread about the purchase of my new PC and Digi 002 rack

Digidesign recommends that you use a seperate hard disk to record on?

Does this mean that you really need an extra hard disk, or does dividing your hard disks in parts doe the same trick?

Hey Brett - you would want to have a separate physical drive on a different IDE channel than your main hard drive.

Partitioning the drive would not give you any significant performance benefits.
