Hey man, listening on work headphones.

The guitar tones, sound really nice. :) Can't hear the low end on these headphones so I won't even comment on that until I've heard on the home system.

The wah, and the sound bites are really cool. :)

Sounds good to me Axeman...guitars have a great tone, and I hear some low end to em....wouldn't hurt to bring the drums up some, but don't hurt the guitars...they sound good.

I think you got another fun one here man...I really like it... :D

Sound bytes could be a bit louder on the intro - as a comparison you must know Ivory Tower by Rami......

The special effects early on are cool.....is that guitar?

I think the bass is "there" but it's eq puts it up toward the guitar range, it's not a big bottom end but that depends on the effect you're going for.....myself I'd try for more definition - but that's just my preference.

The guitars are perfect :)

Pretty cool tune - it rocks steady throughout...

Overall IMHO the tune is close to done mix-wise.....

I see this being at least a trilogy!
Cool intro, that tunacock doesn't mess around. Lead and rhythm guitar tones are sweet. Maybe a tad more EQ separation between the two.
I like the high end on the bass too. Nice main riff and playing too, pretty intense track :D The lead dissappears for the last few minutes, is that how you meant it or just haven't played that part yet? Sounds a bit repetive like it is. Cool track man! Some nasty wah wah action in there

I LOVE the WAH, makes me want to Cry BABY.
the sound bytes are great - I'm the ultimate z grade Sci fi fan & this tuna bake is just in my aisle seat.

bigbubba - Thanks man!I used a different wah model on the podxt live...some kinda Morley thing...

Dogman - I hear ya on the drums... gonna bring up ...this is stil a work in progress (The Tunacock has not laid down his parts yet :p ), so it should sound cool when I'm done....

ido1957 - Thanks for the feedback...yeah, the special effects are a wacky effect on the podxt live called a bubble echo...pretty unmusical but cool for these kinda things...drives my real band crazy when I turn it on during practice :D ....Bass..... the sound I hear in my head is kinda like Steve Harris from Iron Maiden, who, to me kinda has a middy bass that sticks out in the mix, yet provides some lowend depth as well...I just suck at getting a good bass sound in my mix...

SnakeDog5050 - Trilogy ...yeah that sounds cool..I'm definitely a big fan of old cheezey sci-fi flicks and Japanese monster movies, which is the inspiration for this...I still have to add some guitar and Tunacock parts to this so it should sound less redundant when I'm finished...will probably shorten it up a bit as well...Thanks for the feedback!!

rayc - Yup those old films are great aren't they?Glad you dug it...thanks!

Love the lead in the intro. Makes a strong statement to start the music rockin'...very important after that catfish monster thingy !!! :D :D :D

I think the bass, being brought out more in the mix, would enhance the earthy feel of the song. I know, everyone has called it sci-fi...but I pick up a crazy mix of 'earthy sci-fi' aura from it. The words are out there and the bubble effect takes it on a trip, but the bass, drums and rhythm guitar brings it back to earth and grounds it in some heavy sounds. I love the mixture.

The snare could come up with a more defined pop in volume and the kick a bit more thud...? I can hear some great tom rolls in there throughout the tune, to break the repetitiveness up too.

Have you considered using the bubble effect on the outro as well, to give it a tripping away effect? It seems natural for the journey to end tripping out, as it had started tripping in....Just a thought...

...after reading this, perhaps I am the one tripping!! :D

As usual....kick ass stuff axeman!!!

Hey True, thanks for commenting!Working on the bass over the weekend..think I will have a better sound when I post my remix!Great idea on the bubble effect on the end..I am definitely gonna use that!I haven't really added any drum fills or cymbal crashes yet...usually the last thing I do so I agree, it will break up the repetitiveness nature of the song.
Thanks alot for the feedback...I appreciate it greatly!!
